SCAM - tricksters call to 'check Windows settings and update poor security to protect against cybercrime' - ITS A TOTAL BULLSHIT AND SCAM! THEY WANT TO HACK YOUR PC!
Electronic voice warned me that my TalkTalk internet would be disconected this evening and gave me the option to either press 1 to keep it or 2 to disconnect. Goodness knows what would have happened if I had pressed either number. I logged in to TalkTalk and of course there was no mention of a disconnection.
SCAM Bt internet has suspicious activity, they want access to the computer to rectify the problem. PLEASE DON’T AS THEY WILL ACCESS YOUR DETAILS INCLUDING THE BANK

Just received a phone call from this number claiming that my landlord had asked them to carry out a fire safety inspection in my flat. After a brief bit of googling I can't seem to find any information that this number has any ties to fire safety inspections.

Allegedly from Amazon telling me my transaction for £ 1400 + had been stopped and inviting me to contact them in the call. I do not have any outstanding purchases from Amazon for £1400 or anything actually so put phone down and blocked the number.
man said he was from a company doing a customer satisfaction survey on behalf of South East Water. I said I didn't want to do it and he said no worries and hung up.

This number just called me, and despite entries saying this is the Microsoft scam, and other fakey company fakes, this call was from "Go Green Energy Survey", a "genuine government department" wanting to know about my energy usage and supplier. When challenged, they said it was not a survey and they were not selling anything. Then stop wasting my time, stupid call centre man with fake name! Immediately called back, hung up on them.
