Fraud Someone called me from this number in Australia

SCAM Call from 02045996818 on my mobile; didn't recognise the number so didn't answer and no VM left. Looks like I was correct to ignore it.

claimed to be from the security department (but didn't say of which bank/credit card company) claimed to have identified two probably fraudulent transactions. invited me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to someone. I pressed 2, but the line went dead. Looks to me very much like a scam.

Bit coin / Financial fraudsters, they have an extensive organised crime network throughout the UK. Telemarketers / spammers are also now using FAX numbers to call people.

SCAM Pretending to be HMRC saying legal proceedings being taken after a document sent in the post was returned to them. "Press 1 to speak to an officer".

SCAM pretending to be from 02 but o2 confirmed it is a scam caller. Sent text message and wanted to have the code read out to them. Rude when didn't comply.

SCAM hacker hijacked this number from a ladys mobile

Fraud - Incoming call from a foreign call centre. Person on the phone not very bright. When challenged with questions such as “what bank is calling me?” The person was unable to answer and ultimately terminated the call. I knew it was a scam, but just like to waste their time as much as they waste mine.

Tried to call me. Didn’t pick up as I’ve been getting a bunch of these assholes try to call me when I know what they’re trying to do. Hack into my phone. I have my phone on a do not call list with the government if I’ve not signed up for it yet you still call me… you’re lucky I don’t report your little gang to the police. SCAM Claimed to be from BT & there was a problem with my broadband & internet. Whilst it appeared to be from a local number the line was bad and he had an Indian accent. This is the second call I've had in a week 'looking' like its from a local number

A scam caller called Crypto-something-or-other. Offered me 50 dollars of Bitcoin in exchange for attending some seminar; no doubt the scam is that they try to sell you more junk cryptocurrency. Nobody really transfers Bitcoin in increments as low as $50 because the fees are so high. They knew my first name somehow and ignored the TPS Do Not Call list.

SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.
