It’s a scam! Told me they had noticed an unusual amount for £1100.00 had been taken from my account. Said they wanted to verify that I had spent it, which I hadn’t but they wanted me to confirm account details.I asked who them to repeat who they were and they said from visa. I then knew it was a scam as I don’t have a visa account.

Also received from 01795432276. Caller said that £300 would be debited from our account from Amazon, also a much larger amount. These are not the first times these calls have been received. Checks on my accounts haven't found and debits so they must be scams.

This was one of a series of 6 calls starting on Friday 5th that stated they were (or were probably connected )from microsoft ! Different numbers used for each call; no messages left on answerphone. SCAM - from 07773 212931 - claimed £900 had been paid for online purchase from my visa debit card. Automated message starting “dear customer”. Told me to press 1 for fraud line to stop payment.
Automated message with American accent stating HMRC have sent me a letter and are starting court proceedings against me and to press 1 to speak with someone. I have checked with HMRC and this is a known scam.
