Claims to be a company called UK Talks. Definitely suspicious if not scam or fraudulent. Website does not show numbers which call. The numbers they call from frequently change, the latest being this number. 01997 280702 is also one currently used by them. 01212 840668 used to be theirs but is now discontinued. Some called offering to get rid of cold call, automated calls basically every type of call you don t want. For a small fee of ?1.90 per month, they would provide a box to stop the calls. Is it me or shouldn t BT be doing this for free
This number is used to scam people out if money on Whats App. It will pretend to be a family member and ask you to talk on What’s App only and then ask to lend money for Christmas presents because they have been locked out of their banking app. Always ask for information that will verify that you are actually talking to your family member or they will play a clever game and scam you out if your cash. They tried to get £940 off me!! This has been reported to What’s App.

This number rang today but hung up part way through the answerphone message. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I rang and asked for our number to be removed from their database. The guy I spoke to was happy to do this and also happy to tell me that the third party from whom they receive numbers is Communications Avenue. Looks like these are the people we should really be shutting down. A quick Googke shows that they re based in Newark.
