I have had 2 calls in the space of 2 hours about an alleged accident on the road. i have never had an accident and they cannot tell me what details they have about this so called accident. The first caller said they would remove my details but it didn t stop the second call 2 hours later.

Scam! Caller wanted to advise me regarding "injury due to recent car accident." No accident; no injury. Avoid!
Said they were calling to offer free inspection of loft insulation because the Government has designated some of the old stuff as "irritant". I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour. Purporting to be HMRC investigating tax fraud involving me. "Press 1 immediately. If you do not comply, you will be arrested and taken into custody".
Call centre refused to give name of company, used a name that lived in the house.
More calls from this firm wanting me to take out personal injury claim against driver who drove into me. There were no injuries.
Message claimed my internet connection would be disconnected within 24 hours if I didn't press 1 and speak to their technical team

SCAM called today at 13:39 -The automated message states: “This call is in regards to your National Insurance number. Ignoring this final warning may lead you to legal troubles. The reason behind this phone call is to inform you that your National Insurance number will be terminated due to some unethical financial transactions.” The recording then asks the recipient to “please press ‘1’ to get more details.” Which of course I did not

I kept pestering HER with various questions in the middle of her "spill" eventually she hang up. Anyone reading this NEVER let anyone take control of your computer from a "cold" telephone call....
