Indian "gentleman", claims he is from Microsoft. Says my computer is downloading spurious files. I asked him how he knew it was my computer, he said by the machine ID. When I asked what this was he quoted "888DCA....." which is NOT a machine ID, it is a standard Microsoft code related to zip-files, which I told him. The call was terminated immediately...!

bit worried about this is it a scam.

Answered once and its about PPI. Told them I was not interested and he slammed the phone down. Then I got 12 calls from them in 3 days. If I answer again I just don t say anything and see how long it takes them to put the phone down.

It s a scam, I have not registered with any gov site, so they are just ringing on the off chance that you have.

They need your debit card details to start paying off debts that you have. They milk you dry while you remain in debt. You lose money to pay their curry and mortgage. They want £50 to $70 per month, you get an empty bank for your trouble. DO NOT FALL FOR INDIAN SCAM, IF THEY WANT A FEE OR MONEY UP FRONT, TELL THEM TO F... OFF.

I have had a call from this number on my landline every day for the past two weeks. I do not pick up as I have caller display but it is quite annoying as it rings at all different times. There should be a way of stopping these calls.

Yet another number I am getting daily calls from regarding an accident that I never had!! When is something going to be done about these people??

Received call at 20:38 he did not give his name just said he was from Lloyds Bank regarding a recent enquiry I made, I don’t even Bank with Lloyds anymore. He went on to ask can I spare him sometime? I told him no and this sounded like a scam to me then ended the call One other point he did not sound very professional

Called numerous times have to block

Just received a call from this number which said I had a text message but the message was garbled. Phoned our friend who was in a London hospital thinking it was him and he had sent by accident a text message to our landline which resulted in this call. It must be the message service operated by BT but doesn t appear to work very well.

Cold call is from an energetic company and wants you to change your supply to them.
