Claims to be a company called UK Talks. Definitely suspicious if not scam or fraudulent. Website does not show numbers which call. The numbers they call from frequently change, the latest being this number. 01997 280702 is also one currently used by them. 01212 840668 used to be theirs but is now discontinued. Following up a comment that this number might be Friends of the Earth, I emailed FoE and was told the number is a fund-raising agency called Listen, used by FoE. At my request FoE has deleted my number. I suggest that anyone who keeps getting calls from this number also contacts FoE via the Contact Us form on the website, to ask for their phone details to be removed so no more calls are received.

usual pakistani,muslim sounding scammer claiming to be from solicitors. for some reason he didnt take too kindly to the barrage of verbal abuse from me and eventually took the hint after calling back 5 times in rapid succession for more of the same treatment. sometimes its just nice to be able to unload your abuse at someone who cant complain about you. :)
This number has rung my elderly mother claiming that she has one £50,000 and all she needed to do was transfer £400 into an account. Instantly, we knew this was a fraud. Yet they were willing to send a taxi round to my disabled mother to take her to the bank to deposit this money. SCAM

This is a completely valid number - the only problem is that it is a generic outbound call and you will be unable to identify the specific department that called you. This is actually quite frustrating for most recepiants. The NHS will normally call again later.

I have been spammed with calls from this company. I had 4 calls in the space of 2 hours while I was in a meeting at work. I finally picked up and told them I m not remotely interested in reviewing my pensions as they are handled through my company and to remove me from their database. They persisted in being very pushy and I hung up. 30 minutes later I received another call from the number and I blocked it.
Persistant calls, have added to my reject list, but the phone still rings, thought it would auto reject the calls???
