Automated call supposedly from Amazon, asking me to press certain numbers, knew straight away it couldn t be Amazon, so put the phone down after five seconds or so.

First they called tried to confirm that the were speaking to the person they were calling for. Annoyingly they would read back my address. Then they would ask if they could do a short survey. another time they have an Indian accent and sometimes they have an English accent. Sometimes Indian man. The English accent one wanted to know if there was central heating in the house. she went straight into the question despite me telling her she had the wrong name and number. I need to know if these people are scammers I I answered the phone and the lady called and said that it is regarding an insurance taken out on a television Three years ago.

This company have phoned and asked me to hold to be tranferred to an 'operative'which I did, but after 5 minutes of holding I ended the call, then they rang a few days...

These people have continued to hound me on my mobile number chasing a person that I do not know and despite requests to cease they continue.

Would recommend jk solutions, very helpful and I got my compensation really quickly no messing about.

The person knew my name and address BUT the wrong postcode - it was way off! As I said it was the wrong postcode they asked me for mine which I refused to give and told them as they had the wrong information I was not the person they needed.

Claimed to be BT Technical Department.Obviously fraudulent.

Caller did not get through my Call Blocker phone so will assume that it is a spam call and will be dealt with appropriately i.e. put on my permanently blocked list.

this caller phones late evenings, being an OAP this is very unsettling
