Had a call at 11.25 today from this number with an Indian sounding man telling me that my computer had been compromised at around 01:00 this morning and they wanted more information from me so that they could investigate the hacker. He gave his address as British Telecom and, since I don't have an account with them, I thought is sounded very like a scam. The fact that the call seems to have come from India made me very suspicious.

They called me to say they were from Scottish Widows Life Insurance Review Team and it was for 12 month review to check my details. I don't have life Insurance with Scottish Widows so I knew it was a scam and when I questioned where they had my details from they ended call. Checked with Scottish Widows who said they wouldn't make a call to obtain personal information and the number isn't one of theirs. Caller Name: Review Team Caller Type: Scam

They phoned me at 7.00am - it woke me up. The only person who calls me on my home phone is my brother, and at that time in the morning I thought he may be in trouble (ie fallen, ill ). I raced down stairs - half awake - and could of had an accident myself. I don't know what they wanted because as soon as I realised it was a nuisance call I just gave a full abusive response.
