SCAM Claimed to be calling from the "National Debt Advice Service" which doesn't appear to exist. Said they got my number from the Debt Resolution Forum which they described as a "government body". Clearly a scam - AVOID.

If this really is HSBC s fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my telephone security check . Another automated call from 'Amazon' about 2 payments from my account... a phishing scam, yet again.
Called mobile -no msg left - now blocked
SCAM call asking to speak to a person who doesn't exist at my address - when asked who was calling, he said he was calling about the washing machine warranty that's expired and he was calling to offer a renewal. I asked him what washing machine and he said 'the washing machine manufacturer's warranty - i.e. didn't answer the question. I asked him who the company was and he said PYG - when I said, never heard of them, no such person as you requested and we're on the telephone preference list, he hung up.
Silent call...possiblya scam as I have no connection to anyone in California! It sounded as if it was from call centre even though no one spoke directly to me.

When Link contact you they might ask you to give them a reference number which they have previously left on your answering machine. Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!
