I tried to book a room at The Principal Oxford Spires Hotel, Abingdon Road, OX1 4PS, Oxford and called a number 08448542910 indicated on their website. I had to call twice as there was an automated telephone service and no one was able to answer my phone calls. Last month I saw a charge of 1.38 GBP plus VAT on my phone bill!! What a wrong way to make money!! Looks like the hotel is doing that badly so they have to charge potential customers to simply book a room. According to the reviews on the above number

Call center Pertaining to be from Whoopsie.co.uk. Another boiler maintenance company. They actually seem to be a legitimate firm offering alternative boiler maintenance contract as insurance brokers.. However, I am already with British Gas and have no problems with them and also 7 month left on the contract. Rather pushy sales rep who insinuated I had wasted 20 minutes of her time. In that case, job done at this end I would say.

Said his name was James Walker. telling me I have unsecured debt. buckled when I started asking him questions and hung up. asking about my finances and from his accent clearly gave a false name, when I asked what company he was calling from he said it isn t a company it the consumer awareness line, but this does not exist. I received a call on this number the person was speaking Chinese I think.
Called my mobile after 6pm, asking me about my accident within the last 2.5yrs. Knew my name, hung up after I asked for my details to be removed.
Poor chap has had his number sold to insurance scammers (or cloned by them). They will call you to scam you, but when you call back, a normal guy who has unfortunately been tied up in this will answer.
