My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. Unfortunately, I can not say much about this number, as you always hangs up on me. Almost every day I get up to five calls from this number. It will also leave a message on the answering machine.
This woman with a very liverpudlian accent rang me today said she was ringing about a RTA I had and ringing to help. When I said it had been sorted and please take my number off your database and stop ringing me it was in 2013. She was so abusive and ended in if you keep your hair on a minute I may take it off. When I rang back to complain the answer says , this number is not in service. Scum just scum speaking to people like this. I am so angry I want to find out who they are.
