Scam: pretending to be from HSBC. The text message was followed by a phone call. "Dangerous" DO NOT FALL FOR IT.
This number called me on my landline & when I answered there was a pre-recorded message to the effect that there had been suspicious transactions on my bank card. I strongly suspect this is a scam.
I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, just look them up like this and see the comments after. Save yourself getting wound up by these idiots. I once had a phonecall from these "We've heard you've recently been in an accident" so I said yeah I was parachuting and as I was coming in to land I went through the windscreen of a lorry. They texted me as if they were CV library however they tried asking me for my bank account details via a text. This is the text they sent: Benefit and requirement - Work week - 6 days (600USDT) - Only 30-60 minutes of work per day - Flexible hours and location (can be arranged by yourself) - Must be 21 years old or older - Training will be provided - Bank account required for salary purpose Never give any personal information away via text. Always use an official website.
Automated call A number that shows up as a local call on my landline (without prefix)..However, it is followed by the well-known 7 bleeps and a pre-recorded message saying "Thank you for calling". I have received hundreds of calls of this type from numbers all over the country. Why it seems to be impossible to put a stop to the company that is responsible for these nuisance calls is something I simply do not understand.

This number calls me two or three times at about 10 minutes intervals. It never leaves a message. It also seems to be associated with another number 07482876440 which calls with the same pattern. Clearly these numbers are from someone who knows that I do not want to speak to them. Otherwise they would leave their details.
