This was an automated call about a charge for Amazon Prime membership that had expired. I don't currently have an Amazon Prime membership, so this was almost certainly a scam call.

i had a text message from this number which takes you to what looks like a fake royalmail website. None of the embedded links work on the website. The message at the top of the page seems to suggest these is an unpaid fee on a parcel. - SCAM

caller claimed to be from my (unspecified) mobile network. When I asked them to confirm which one, they hung up.
It was someone claiming to be my daughter saying she had lost her phone and to ring her back on the above number. Daughter was with me at the time she definitely hadn't lost her phone. So in my opinion it was a scam.

Caller addressed me by my first name but that was all I could understand, the noise going on in the background (His) drowned out everything else he was saying. Was called this morning about 10am was a recorded message, saying we need your authority to pass payment to amazon of £500, and also about a £1000 that needs authorising, the recorded message was crackling and hard to hear all but i just hung up. then did 1471 to see who it was as they made out it was my bank wanting authorisation.

Sales call / this is a call from SD of Verkada Limited - a tech company selling security cameras etc. It will likely be related to an email whereby it is suggested he will be "in your area" next week. Of course he doesn't know where you are and in the absence of matter-transportation will not be there. It's an unsolicited sales call and not very clever. Best avoid firms like this where they start with a lie.

I had a call on 1/30/2023 from 44+ 0141 628 5948 and the phone number I was a scam they was trying to see what company I was with on my sim card and they was trying to get my bank details because they said my iPhone been hacked and I need a new one and they wanted my bank details.
Scam, they are calling using numbers from Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and using Mobiles. If you call them out on it they instantly hang up. I've had the same man on the phone 8 times now using different numbers.
