SCAM. I've just switched phone contracts around a month ago and these clowns called me up offering a 'super deal' on an iPhone with free data, calls and messaging for £40. Very strong indian accents, I repeatedly asked them who they were and who they thought I was. I was passed to a 'supervisior' who couldn't tell me who I was. A genuinec call should ask if they are speaking with the account owner. When i called them out for being scammers they got a bit short. They eventually rang off. AVOID

0345 351 0192 called me twice at 08.50 and 09.00 hours. I answered the second call and got a recorded message (which gave my first name wrong, called me Michaela not Nicola!). Saying they were Lloyd’s Bank and inviting me to press any button to speak to someone about fraud on my account. I DO NOT HAVE A LLOYDS ACCOUNT! Had the same message on Friday, they wanted £300 then £200 for a quick fix, then £90 for a one off service. Turned the computer off and everything is fine now, Ignore the message and disconnect your computer.

This number is for Go Assist and their freephone number is 0800 8654 111. They sell extended warranties and repairs - basically your item breaks and then they fix it within the extended warranty period. They are massively expensive - Cheaper to go to original manufacturer or call in domestic and general or something like that. I was quote £350 for a repair but they could turn it into t warranty if I was good to them. I told them where to go and yet they keep calling me.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8438707xxx range (I use the app from these pages, no problems)... People did someone answer this number?
