Called me on my mobile at 7.30pm. Quoted my name then said he was calling about my life insurance. When i said i had a financial advisor (which i do) he started shouting aggressively "if you ve got a financial advisor, tell me his name and his middle name". Cut him off and blocked the number.

They re a bunch of prats with nothing better to do than flog any old crap for clients and their call redirection service will show different locations where the call came from. This number rang today but hung up part way through the answerphone message. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I rang and asked for our number to be removed from their database. The guy I spoke to was happy to do this and also happy to tell me that the third party from whom they receive numbers is Communications Avenue. Looks like these are the people we should really be shutting down. A quick Googke shows that they re based in Newark.

From looking the number up and finding all these comments saying Vanquis - i called Vanquis up asking why a debt collecting agency is harrassing me when I paid off any money oweing last year and wrote a letter of cancellation LAST YEAR! I dont even have a valid in date credit card with them - how could I owe money?! They obviously havent closed my account! Because I cant remember an email address of password from 4 Years ago they will not talk to me about the account! Vultures!! They should be closed down.
