SCAM / SPAM A man rang my landline and asked if I'd had trouble with my Sky broadband connection. I told him I hadn't, but that didn't put him off! He asked me to go to the router and tell him what colour the lights were. I told him I'd noticed he didn't say my name when I answered the phone, so said I suspect he's not from Sky. Had Phone call from this number regarding Electrical System Insurance. When I said that I already had it, the female caller said 'I know and it is £180.00 per annum and because you have not claimed for three years we are going to reduce it'. At one I knew it was most likely scam and pressed my "Block Now' button.
Fraud Left a voicemail saying it's HMRC about a lawsuit, to call them back or have my soliciter get in touch or prepair to face the consequesnces. Blatently using a chopped-together recording. HMRC would always try to contact by post, not phone.
