Called me and hung up immediately the ansaphone cut in. Tried calling them back but got a message that the number dialled had not been recognised. I suspect that it s a Skype type call from a foreign country - they usually come up with a number that looks like a uk STD code but could be from anywhere in the world.

Call to my Mobile for someone that might have lived at this address some years ago.Person I spoke to gave me the right address but person sought not at the address for at least 7 years.Not sure how they can have right address,but MY number.Might have got it from my on-line CV?

Weird call - phone "answered itself" when no-one was near it. I heard voices and went to investigate - found my phone playing a recorded message. A bit unsettling really. Anyone else had this experience?

Just received a call from an Indian sounding chap called Charles . Asked me to confirm if I was receiving a high volume of telemarketing calls, and that he could help. Gave me the 0845 number, and told me to call for a box to plug in to the phone for ?1 something per month. I asked him to hold on for a moment, muted the call, put it on speaker and just left the phone on the desk while I carried on with my work. These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. Just block the number if you have the facility. TPS is useless against these callers.
