got a call from this number saying they are calling from an insurance review service and asked for what life insurance I have and when was it last reviewed and what benefits I'm getting. After a few seconds stopped talking and I had to hang up. Very annoying.

Automated call, when I answered it simply said 'Goodbye' and rang off. I'm guessing that no call centre operative was available at that moment to handle a call made by automated software. Or it noticed a TPS opt out.
Brechin (Scotland) cloned number allegedly from 02. A scam offering 40% off your O2 account. - I know it is a 100% scam as (a) I have had one of these calls before and (b) I ceased to be an O2 customer 4 years ago. Suspect someone hacked their site or an ex-employee has flogged their data to scammers. Foreign guy said he'd send a special code in a text/email but to not divulge it to anyone - probably because everyone gets the same and they don't want you to compare notes!

SCAM. I got a very convincing text from this number but it is 100% a scam. The text said ‘ We attempted to deliver your EVRI parcel TZXXDA0732617072 today but no one was home. To avoid your parcel being returned visit: https://evri-parcelsecure.com’. The text was sent at 4am though so there was no way it was legit/they had tried to deliver that day. The link looks legit too but asks you to pay a redelivery fee.
Safe number Sky VIP. I ended up with a much better deal. The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.

It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. He said that he was calling from London, when I asked him what the weather was like in India, and it would be set up today! Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.
