In frustration I eventually dialled 2 and told a rather bored sounding person that I was fed up getting so many calls from them and asked if he could remove my name from their so called Government Database. Answered this call and they said they were from Vodafone and said they were calling about my high phone bills recently to which I replied I have not had any high bills as never go over my allowance, the reply was okay goodbye. Tried phoning again today - didn't answer. Definitely a scam.

Same experience as everyone else but unfortunately I am in some discussion with HMRC over some outstanding tax so I was initially taken in and did press option 1. They already knew my address and postcode ( not sure how ) and I was then stupid enough to give them my DOB before I smelled a rat and rang off. Unhappy that they now have some of my personal details.
