Pre-recorded female voice (American accent) purporting to be HMRC but number coming up on iPhone as Newquay area. Couldn't clearly hear what was said but usual message engineered to put people under pressure while offering a "Press number 1" type option to be put through to scammers most likely. Just waited and it cut-off.

TAXES / HMRC SCAM - Received a call from this number. Recorded message informing me that a letter from HMRC had been returned and therefore proceedings are going to be issued against me. I was instructed to press '1' to speak to an advisor but I hung up instead and reported the call to ICO.org.uk. I am hoping that this is not somebody's private number being cloned.

SCAM recorded message said Amazon Prime about to take £79.00 subscription from my account and to press a number to stop and speak to someone about this. SCAM - BLOCKED

Call from ‘Michael’ of PrimeInvest wanting to refund £11000 of my £250 deposit, but first I need to download anydesk, a popular tool for fraudsters to use to get control of your computer. In their facebook ads PrimeInv.co purport to offer AI trading. Their “registered address” is the Google offices in Zurich. They’ll take your money but don’t expect to see any back.

Searched Google and found they are being looked into by the FCA as they are unlicensed and are trying to sell services or products with out being registered. Said they were contacting me about a problem I had with my house - suggesting it was rented / local authority. It's not so I said they had the wrong number and they hung up. SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person

SCAM Robocall left partial message on my answerphone saying their fraud department had noticed a suspicious charge for £800 on my Visa card for online gambling in America. They had put the transaction on hold and if I wanted to reject the charge to press 1 and speak to their fraud department. Clearly a scam as I have no Visa cards.

SCAM pretending to be First Direct Fraud department, which it’s not. As soon as I said I would call FD back myself they hung up very fast. The number is similar to the First Direct number but is NOT legitimate. Do not give any details of any kind to them.
