Got a call from this number saying that someone was trying to take money from my account for betting in America and to press 1 on my receiver, which I obviously didn't. Sounded dodgy

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. I'm an individual counsellor and this person 'Jack' texted me during my Christmas holiday. He pretended to be a client at first, and I responded in case he was a potential client in need. He then attempted to sell me his "automated systems to attract more counselling clients". I hate spammers who prey on therapists' good natures, and who disrespect our vacation boundaries. Don't fall for this.

Was called this morning about 10am was a recorded message, saying we need your authority to pass payment to amazon of £500, and also about a £1000 that needs authorising, the recorded message was crackling and hard to hear all but i just hung up. then did 1471 to see who it was as they made out it was my bank wanting authorisation.

Bank scam. A recorded message from "bank security" telling you some large amount of money had been transferred from your bank account. You are suggested to press "1" for further information and certainly, have your money stolen when you give your bank details. Beware!!!!!!!

They're pretending to be iD Mobile but they're not, god knows how they're finding what mobile service we're with to try and make the text message look genuine. The text message claims the payment didn't go through with a link they want you to go to, so i checked on iD Mobile and nooo... it did go through, a few weeks ago :P and i always get another text from them and let the texts build up a bit before i delete them so coming from a mobile number you know it's a SCAM trying to get money by saying the pa

Fraud SCAM Fraud call that stated my card had been used for two large transactions of £300 Amazon and £1100 international payment. Automated message sounds like it is from the bank, but did not state name of bank, or cardholder. Used another phone to call the number back (out of curiosity). Mobile network sates it is an invalid number, and call made from Ireland, with a London code?

SCAM - the call looked like a normal mobile number. A pre-recorded message talks of a fraud against HMRC and an arrest warrant being issued - press button 1 or 2 Etc. I hung up - a complete scam, either attempting to get a premium rate return call or personal information.
