Call centre noise but no one speaks
They wanted to know if I've had stocks and shares before. Indian guy at first talking a load of rubbish called me sam which is not my name then passed me through to "a manager" sounded from Liverpool and he said the same but talking about money t
No answer, they immediately hang up when you answer the phone
As above, was asked if I d had an all inclusive holiday. I asked if they were selling something. I don t trust this kind of call, I told them not to ring again.
I did not reach the phone before my machine kicked in but as soon as my message started the phone call was ended. I do not know anyone in this area but I do know that the scammers are now able to link on to UK landlines to fool you into thinking it is from a UK number. Yesterday I had a similar call from a number about 15 miles from home but when I picked it up there was the usual call centre pause. When I tried ringing back there was no reply.
