Another ppi annoying call

Had a call at approximately 11.10pm that sounded fraudulent. Have a close relative in hospital with a severe heart condition so have been waiting by the phone for urgent news of their status. We have never had a call of this nature on our landline or at this hour and due to the circumstances it has caused enormous and unnecessary distress. Overwhelmed as i write this.

Second call received from this number. The first time they hung up as soon as I answered. The second time, I answered it, the bloke said that they were from "Consumer Helpline ", and "ringing about any finance [I d] taken out in the past ten years and any miss-sold PPI ", as soon as he heard me say that it was an "unsolicited call", and that "I m ex directory", the bloke hung up! I dialled 1471, and the above number appeared. When I tried several times to ring them back, I ve got a computerised message

Just had this number call (Liverpool code, with non-geographical sub-code 808) - but I never pick up the phone. Worst thing you can do, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will now be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe. This explains the silent treatment from any real person (low-lifeform) at the other end. Let the phone ring until the other end gets fed up and ends the call, then dial 1471 and note down the number. Google it to see what scum has tried

I have been investigating this company myself for a number of years following a previous company trading under the same style. I do know they used to be a company called Lombard Legal who were based in liverpool and the man behind this was christian carney who employed his staff as directors. I am 95% certain carney is behind this company also. I believe ben reynolds is a relative to chris and ben is nothing but a front. Just got my first one from this number this morning. Before I had chance to open they hung up. Glad I found some info before thinking about ringing them back. I don t know why the authorities don t ban people/companies who do this (i.e. dial and hang up so they will get paid by people trying to call back)
