I just got a call claiming (falsely) to be from this number, claiming (again falsely) that it was BT Openreach (or something). Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.
Yet another domestic appliance cover scam! Asian woman, Emma, calling to say my payments were being reduced as I was a good customer. Joke, not a customer.! Time these scammers were stopped!

I haven’t answered this call yet as I tend to not answer calls where I don’t recognise the number - I figure if it’s important they’ll leave a voicemail. I was getting consistent calls from another number in the same area as this one which I blocked yesterday, and now today I’ve already had two calls from this number in the same area. Seems very spammy to me. SPAM
