Called today, i do not say hello if I do not know the number, after a few seconds phone went dead.

Copy and pasted text: Hi!! I'm Sophia from Jobseekers, my company currently has multiple vacancies and flexible positions available, can I share more details? I’m not looking for a job nor did I register my details/number with any job seeking agencies etc so I suspect it’s a scam of some sort . I didn’t bother answering , immediately blocked.

This number is used by scammers. My experience is that they advised me that my PayPal account had been used suspiciously, and invited me to call this number and get the supposed transaction cleared. What made this so dangerous, was the fact that they used the Paypal site giving this number to contact to resolve the problem. Very cute, they nearly caught me, but they asked too many questions about bank accounts, which set the alarm bells ringing. Asked why, the call was terminated.
Man with Indian accent said his name was Michael. Claimed to be from BT Open Reach. (I didn’t think they were contactable) Local Shaftesbury number. He then asked me how I am today. It didn’t seem very professional. I felt uneasy about this so I rang off.

Silent call - rang early morni9ng and when I picked up there was no voice, nothing. I said hello, but there was no reply - said it again and then the line went dead. Few people use our landline these days, and only numbers we recognise (family and friends) so I suspect this was spam.

I called the number on the invoice from PayPal, a man with a thick indian accent answered & struggled to speak good English to explain himself.
