The call was from Birmingham Women s hospital to confirm an appointment. There was no identifying name when the missed call came up on my call register and the text alert did not mention any link to the hospital. Comments on tellows were a great help in identifying who the call was from and its importance and legitimacy.

These scammers have been trying to call me over a period of several days around ten times a day. They also use the same number with 4 instead of 9 on the end. I told the first caller to f*** off (they re clearly from somewhere Asian, not Looe, and I enjoy a good swear) and then added their number to my free BT Call Protect service. All their subsequent calls were logged by BT but didn t make my phone ring. If you re with BT, I d urge you to get the Call Protect service set up. You can bar all international
