Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. Reported to the ICO

Called this morning. I do not know anyone in Leeds. Caller was a woman with an (Indian?) accent. Caller told me that I needed debt. A weird call, caller did not use my name, identify herself or tell me why I needed debt.
SCAM, Tom is extremely harassing. He will call you and keep calling you until you pick up the phone. He makes you feel pressured into buying electricity with him. Not a friendly service, not a friendly man, almost feels like a scam and dangerous. Block his number because he will be extremely persistent. Claimed to be calling from "credit investigation unit" and government had shortlisted me to write off 90% of my debt. I got him to stop, then said I was recording the call and began quizzing him. The story he spun twisted and flipped, wouldn't answer how/why the government knows what my credit status is, or who compiles the shortlist, or where his employer got it. I repeated that I was recording the call and suggested it was a scam. He swore and cut off the call.

Called six times 13th April 2023 during the course of the day from late afternoon right up until 19.27hrs, no messages left, we don't answer our landline, just for broadband and anyone that knows us will call our mobiles, so expect this is some sort of sales call or scam, blocked it, definitely don't wanna be talking to anyone from Vietnam, Binh Dinh, really, unwanted nuisance calls!
