Automated voice call from this number on Tues 27th June regarding a "transfer from my account in the sum of £1000+ and a transaction to Amazon in the sum of £300+" and I was invited to press button 1 to authorise both transactions which I obviously did not do. There was no description of which "account" involved in either the transfer or the Amazon transaction. Checking all accounts confirms NO cash transfer and NO transaction with Amazon.
Friendly number This was the reception at the Park Hotel in Aintree to confirm reservations.
Obviously a call centre as we have answer machine no message left. As we did not recognize the number we left it to ring if urgent for them to speak to us they would surely have left a message. On looking at the location it could also be a scam/spam call even for fraud.

Unconvincing credit card phishing scam. Automated female voice saying credit card has been used for two large amounts. Amazon and an international transfer. Press 1 or 2 to speak to customer services. Seemed deliberately unclear what company they were supposed to be.

Best he didn't call me when I didn't even have a coffee or a cup of tea or a cigarette. I won't be called dumb or stupid by a fake debt collector. Block or even better tell him to do one and go away.

SCAM - caller claimed to be from British Gas wanting to book me in for a boiler service. She didn't ask for anyone here by name so I didn't engage, just ended the call & blocked the number. Phoned saying they were from BT and I had a very serious internet problem - caller was clearly from India, so I asked him what part of England he was calling from and he said London, even though the number says Pickering. Was very insistent that I had a serious internet problem, in the end I just hung up
