Had this number call a few times, yes it's part of Halifax but it's one of many of their areas - it could be birmingham midshires mortgage. It's not a scam. The reason you can't call the number back is it's a number set up not to accept incoming calls - many banks/mortgage companies etc have them now adays. First Assist from York called today, Asked to speak to me (using my FULL NAME), asked who was calling! He said his name David and calling from First Direct and ringing about the injuries I received in the accident I had last year . . cut him short to ask him for his mothers phone number, he ask why. Told him so I could get my son to ring her up and tell her what a con merchant her son is. TOTAL SILENCE . . when to tried to speak again cut him off. Now blocked.
