SCAM: Someone contacted me through Gumtree about a property to rent. Wanted an upfront deposit, tries to be very convincing. Emailed me fake tenancy agreement, fake deposit protection service document, then gives sob story about being hard of hearing and wanting to move near her family and has been messed about by other potential tenants and needs the deposit now. Looked up the fake name that was given (Denise Peyker Couchman) and hundreds have been conned. We avoided that. Also using 07537182225.

5 calls within 3 hours, very intrusive, if I call back it s an invalid number. I am working when they call, so I don t understand that if they are desperate to speak to me, why don t they leave a message!!!!
