This is the third call I have received. Caller said she was Windows Online Support. Tried to take control of my computer. I pretended to go along with her requests and kept her talking for 10 minutes before she eventually ended the call.

Have had a few calls from this number now. Most recent one when he asked if he could speak to me by name I replied "no you can t" and he hung up. The number he called has never been listed, is never given out to anybody but family or very close friends and is registered with tps so how do these people get a number like this to be associated with a name?

I initially ignored their calls but I am glad I answered a call in the end. They helped me locate an old workplace pension that I had two decades ago. I hadn t given the pension much thought since I left the job. I couldn t of afforded hundreds of pounds to pay a financial advisor so they really helped me out. I do understand people being annoyed about the cold calling though.

This is a third party marketing company who call on behalf of ALL mobile providers (T-mobile, Orange, Vodafone, O2 etc) In my case it was T-mobile and I phoned 150 from my mobile and requested my PAC number from their retentions department, intimating that I was leaving them. After some nonsense from them I pointed out that the number 01462 439891 was on their web site as an authorised service partner I was told that the issue would be looked into and I would get a call back. Called asking for the director who wasn t in. No message and would call back, when i presume i will ask to be removed from their list.

Perfectly trustworthy -- these people call when your policy is about to expire. They leave you alone the rest of the time.
