If the number is exposed, they just generate a new number and continue scamming people in the US. the actual number is mirrored to a us number to hide it's origin.

SPAM this and 11 other land line numbers from this area have called my mobile over the last 2 months. Many have called multiple times, I've lost count. Fed up with them. Previous callers have been from so called Double glazing, green energy and investment companies. The last few were from FX MORGAN CAPITAL who also call from a plethora of mobile numbers- too many to list. The FCA and my bank, after an investigation with fraud squad, have said its a scam company. SCAM The caller was a recording with a female voice with American/Canadian accent. She told me she was from security at my bank card (no account name or bank) and I had £10,000 taken from my account and £2000 by PayPal. If I was not aware of these transactions I should press button 1. This call is identical to many others I have received with the same voice but differing amounts. No bank card or account is ever identified. It is a Scam to get you to press button 1 and make your phone open to the scam

Called my mobile, I have an app that tells me if it's a spam call if the number is not in my contacts. This came up as "Suspected Spam - debt collector" - Not sure if it was, I didn't answer. Searched a couple of these sites and the number is not listed anywhere - very odd

Automated call from American sounding lady informing me that an overseas surcharge had been made on my Paypal account for £199 - press 1 to pay the surcharge or press 2 to speak to customer service. Put the phone down at this point and blocked the number.

Sent suspicious text about missed delivery by "Matthew", sent a link to arrange a redelivery, when I entered the link on a separate device, google said that the website is malicious and may try to steal your data and blocked me from opening the site.
