Just an stupid voice recording from 'The National Crime Agency' threatening to cut off my National Insurance benefits and arrest me due to fraud if I didn't call back. So, just for a laugh, I pressed 1. Got a lot of call centre noise with Indian accents but no one answering. So I screamed down the phone and then got an extremely abusive American accented voice with whom I had a shouting match (I won). NO-ONE from a UK crime agency or a UK government would attempt to contact someone like that.

Received a call from 02039741025 and when I answered I was greeted by an automated voice message saying my details had been linked to fraudulent activities and that if I did not call them back my bank accounts would be frozen. I blocked the number on my phone and 1 day later I received a similar call from 02039174216. I have not been able to confirm this but it all seems to be a scam.
Company called to say I needed to renew the insurance for my sky equipment but I don t have sky, I think this is probably some sort of scam.

Now I m sure that a 13 year old doesn t have a car or a license and they definitely shouldn t be calling a 13 year old.ive showed him how to block numbers and blocked the number who called him. Received a call this morning from the above number. Said that my pension was now due for review. Said they were the PENSIONS ADVICE BUREAU and confirmed my address and postcode. Said they were conducting reviews on UK pensions and that my pension was due for review. Seems strange as I have no pension nor is one then up for review. Told her this and then she apologised and said that the number would be removed form the system. I asked her questions about what the mature of their business was. Told pensions

Are based in Scotland with no known office in 01305 exchange area. Have calls from Scotland re-routed through local exchange numbers in order to persuade people to answer a local number. If you call it back, then the call is again re-routed back to their Scotland office. Not sure if this is an illegal practice under telephony legislation, but would be interested if anyone can come up with the legislation about having calls re-routed to give the answering CLI the impression that the call is local.
