My partner received numerous calls saying his number was on some guys girlfriends phone we quickly realised it was an automatic recorded voice as if you don t speak it carries on speaking as though having a conversation ect. We got bored and hung up and then the same number called my mobile it highlighted as spam on the call but I answered but it was some American woman saying my number was on her guys cell (hmm funny there was no caller area code just a blatant UK mobile number that called) we had the same
Being that I contacted E-On recently about giving my details to another company, which was IMServ, I m not surprised they are trying to contact me and this could be genuine. I understand that getting in touch in person isbetter than email and I m interested to know why my details were passed on in the first place without my consent as am always careful to tick or untick boxes. The worrying thing is that I don t have an online account with them it was all done over the phone.

SCAM: BT SCAMMER ... Indian/Pakistani ? man called to say my BT service Lloyds Bank Direct Debit needed verifying, I played along and gave false numbers on my debit card (to see how far they wished to go), they already new my name , address, phone number. Well, actually I don't bank at Lloyds anyway!, they then asked for my DOB, so I gave a false one of course. Then they offered me a 50% discount for 5 years on my account (that's mighty generous what). I was handed over to a CLOSER manager who said my card
