Automated message left telling me there was a £300 and £1000 charge on my card. (No mention of which card). This was incorrect and therefore message is most likely a scam.
caller purports to be calling from microsoft and wants remote control of my computer saying i have been hacked for identity id and my details being used for illegal betting etc .rang microsoft who said this is a scam as they would not make such a call

REALLY HALIFAX. IGNORE THE PEOPLE SAYING THIS IS A SCAM THEY ARE 100% WRONG. Turns out my emergency credit card had a fraudulent payment on it. I’ve never used the card so Halifax must have leaked my details, which is highly worrying. I was suspicious so I called the number on the back of my bank card to be safe but yes this is 100% Halifax’s fraud number. The man said he was from sky but did not have any idea about my deal with sky and was was pretending to offer me a package thay i already have. Also I heard noise and laughing in the background at the start of the call which felt was suspicious as usually the background noise is not heard. I felt it was a scam so declined the offer.

My caller display showed international 01242513505. Had two call in last hour said from BT, advised my router faulty, told me go turn on computer immediately almost barking instructions......got. They verified my details, knew my name and every handset/plan I already had, and after a brief chat, concluded that I didnt need anything. I get these kind of calls 1-2 a year. They are a telesales company likely working with EE. There is a lot of negative comments, but this is the way the capitalist world you live in works. Accept you will get these calls, people trying to sell your something.

Received a call from 0203 986 8243, Asian gentleman(very poor English) claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. Kept going on about special deals, he was obviously going off his own script because it made no sense. At the end of HIS conversation because all I said was .... not interested he finished off with is that a good deal for you.
Odd thing is that The callers number is VERY close to my own.
Keeps ringing, I don t answer, had a long 6 year dispute with a major high street bank,who incidentally were in the wrong and didn t take me to court but harassed me all the same, all associated debts are long since statue barred and they know this, just trying their luck and having none.
