An Indian or Pakistani sounding lady called me from 01618268047 claiming to be from BT and telling me that I would receive a discount on my future telephone bills. She asked me for my date of birth, Christian name and name of my bank which I foolishly gave her. She then asked questions about my computer and phone whereupon I hung up. Clearly some sort of scam. I then realised that I’m not with BT so she got that wrong. Worryingly she knew my name and address. Where do these people get this information from?

Called our business using an automated dialling system - over 30 calls within 10 seconds.

Voice recording allegedly from HMRC advising they had taken out a court order against me and to press 1 to speak to my case officer. Definite scam as HMRC do not operate in this way.
Caller claims to be from Nationwide Building Society and is probably a scammer
