Recorded message saying the phone company had been trying to contact me about my account, where suspicious activity had been noted, and accordingly I would have my phone and broadband disconnected. Press 1 to speak to a supervisor. This call came minutes after another suspicious call from 08008815191 again supposedly from from the phone company, again wanting me to press1 if I was the person named (they knew my name) or press 2 if I was not the person named. Indian sounding chap rang saying he was calling on behalf of "Telephone Preference Management" and asked if I was receiving nuisance calls and if so they were going to upgrade my service so that I will not receive any nuisance calls for the rest of my life. He knew my name, wife's name, daughter's name, address, post code and that I was with BT. Well for a start I am not with BT and when he asked if I paid my telecoms bill by direct debit then it was time to politely tell him goodbye.
