Called the number back, and yes customer is with talktalk and they had call screening in place. It seems a call centre is using this number as a mask to make calls from the internet, and therefore when you call the number back you don't get them but an innocent talk talk customer.

Polite female caller with Cheshire/Lancashire/Manchester accent about half an hour ago saying she was from the Workers Party of Wales, and that I was listed as having worked in heavy industry (I was actually a civil servant before retiring). I didn't call back as there's a scam now where if you call back certain numbers it shows up on your bill as you've called them back and it's listed as anything from 1 to 12 hours. This bill is about 300 quid so if it's genuine they can leave a message as far as I'm concerned

Have been contacted by this company no less than 4 times a week for close to a month. They claim to be Caledonian gold. Selling shares in the ownership of the gold market. The refuse to take no for an answer. I have had three different males call me claiming the previous colleagues have moved on. They are intent on getting full personnel details over the phone and setting up an account in your name without cash in it. Do not answer or speak to these people they are pure scammers. !!!!!
