Automated call saying they are from HMRC and if you don't press one now a warrant will be issued against you for fraud. Total scam.... avoid at all costs and do NOT press one. Apparently if you do you your telephone bill will be charged an extortionate amount of money - not sure how much because, fortunately, I did not press one!!!

If that was really the case then why don't they have your address? Ask them for your IP address as the only way your "computer" could show up on a BT server is with an IP address (except BT don't monitor for this sort of thing and wouldn't phone you up about it). This company has called me many times over the last few weeks - I decided to answer & they talked about the new planning regulations and my Conservatory - I told her I do not have a conservatory and she said she would make a note of it & bid me goodbye - why did they call? - exercise caution!
