These people are from a company called Ultimate Contact Solutions. The only reason they are calling you is to get you to call back (money making) and to confirm a contact number is active so they can sell it on. If you are unlucky enough to answer and stupid enough to ring back they then pump you for your details, and if able to other family members details so they can sell your details at a higher price and get an extra sale from your family s details. SCAM claimed to be Tony from Carphone Warehouse but my andriod identified the caller as Al Kareem, a legitimate company, so they are using their number to think they are legit. Unless you use Al Kareem block this number

I had a phone call from this number which gave an automated message saying it was my bank and that there was suspicious activity (someone had tried to spend £300 on amazon and £1600 elsewhere). It said to press 1 to confirm something. I believe it was a scam.
