some insurance number crap i hang up the phone call

Indian accent saying from BT. Warning I had a virus on my broadband. Tried to get me to share screen. Hung up when I said how could I be sure who they were.

Getting multiple calls from these people, can hear them in the background coughing, then they hang up.

Odd thing is that The callers number is VERY close to my own.

Rang to say I d won a holiday to Florida but would have to pay for Flights. Asked if I was age 30-60 & an him owner. She then said she was transferring me to someone else to hand over personal details. I laughed at her & put the phone down. She rang back immediately after to which I ignored the call. These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Very dangerous fraudulent number. They may txt also. Do NOT answer. They send malware to your phone. 3rd call in 2 days.

Cardiff based company didn t leave a message assume it s ppi or that accident I supposedly had in my imaginary car! wish there was a way to stop them or sue the companies that sell on our phone numbers.

I very rarely give out my number to people who aren?t family, so I?m very confused as to how the ?company? has my information. It?s definitely a dodgey number by all accounts.
