I've just had the same recorded 'urgent BT call' as others. My internet router has been misused, computer infected therefore BT account being disconnected unless I press 1 to.... I terminated the call at that point

Claimed to be from our Bank, "Something important to discuss", and wanted our "security code" or part of it. Asked us to call this 01404 number (in Honiton ?). We refused to do so, and hung up. Didn't use our phone for a while in expectation that they'd hung up or been disconnected. Can't be sure, but this has all the hallmarks of a scam/impending fraud. Potentially dangerous in our view.
