This number called me just now and it appears to come from Rugeley, England. As it's a number that's not on my contacts list and also a number I don't recognise, I don't answer and block it straight away. I am currently being inundated with these sorts of calls on a daily basis!

The caller asked to talk to my wife and when i asked for the name of the company he said EWT, I simply said that i had not heard of the company and he hung up. No reputable company would do that, there is no excuse.

Dialled 1471, caller had withheld their number. 10.22am text message from above number stating I could be entitled for up to ?4999.00 in compensatiion for missold PPI on credit cards or loan.
