Indian scammer called saying there have been charges of over £1500 on a debit card that I do not have, waisted 50 mins of my time playing along, when I told him I have over £235,000 in a saving account plus another £53,000 in other accounts he gave me this number to call, I said I will call them in a hour as I have a Doctors appointment.

The caller rang of as soon as I answered. Therefore I suspect some Sort of sales rubbish or scammer. They will not get a chance to mess me about again as I am blocking the number. I received an SMS that appears to have been sent by HSBC. This shows an one-time password for a transaction of around £983 and asks me to urgently call this number (03309124638) if I do not recognise this transaction. BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM! I have called HSBC (on their true number and not the fake number mentioned above) and they have confirmed what was obvious to me: THIS IS A SCAM. Your account is safe and has not been compromised. IGNORE THE TEXT MESSAGE and do NOT call that number. That's all!

Just received a call from this number from an articulate young man who attempted to argue with me when I questioned who he was and shouted over me rather than listening to what I was saying. It was apparently something to do with green energy and saving me money. I said I did not deal with cold callers and asked him not to ring again as he could not save me money as my energy bills are fixed but he said I did deal with cold callers as I had answered the phone! It was altogether a very unpleasant call.

Asian-sounding male calling from "Bank Security" informing me of suspected fraud on my account. Seemed unaware that my bank has no connection with Norway where the call seemed to have been placed from; also couldn't provide the account number he was calling about or even the Bank he was calling from.

Claimed to be calling from "auto repair centre" offering 40% off. Wanted to confirm the phone number he'd just called me on, but when I asked instead "40% off what?" he got confused and hung up.
