This is some call centre worling for non-profit organizations, mostly connected with Cancer Research UK. If not interested just block it, for most people just a nuisance call... The question is where they got my number.

Called saying from virgin media asking for my account details stating my router had been hacked! Refused to give there details other than they are from Virgin Media. When challenged they hung up.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls - surveys, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8432632xxx range... People don't fall for it. Did someone answer any number of this range?
