Got call from the number the guy said calling from EDF energy and asked for which energy provider you are using I responded with why you need this information then the call got disconnected immediately got call after few minutes from the same number and now been told calling from British gas and started asking for details about current supplier.

I moved house four months ago. I have a private and protected landline number (used to be called ex-directory). I have a call from this number at 7.15 pm on a Sunday evening??? How and why?? Then when he asked for the year I was born, I told him 1900 and he hung up. This is either a scam or someone trying to sell something. When type the number in on google, it comes up with a man named Jake Stacey.
