They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. No idea who the company is, but they use a ''mobile'' number first 079698977868, you will notice this number is 12 digits and not the standard 11. They use this so you answer, granted they give you the option press 5 to speak to someone or 9 to exit. Press 5, you must press 5 and get them to ring you, that way you can have a go for unsolicited calling! These companies are vermin and need to be shut down!

My work insurance is catered for. Gave them instructions pretty much based on the two words, with further instructions to delete my details from their data base.

SCAM / SPAM SCAM ALERT Just had a call from this number: 01332166297 Automated recording claiming to be from HMRC. Said if I didn't press 1 to be connected to an officer, a warrant would be issued and I'd be arrested shortly. Obviously I'm not that stupid and reported it via a function on my phone.

I have adopted this response to all un recognised incoming call. "Celebrity dating how can we help you". Use the campest voice you have. I got one i*iot to even tell me they were married and didn't need a date. Duhhhh! Puts a smile on my face every time. My kids love it. Then just block all calls and text from the number.

I was in a different room but heard a voice coming from the phone. How can they do that? The voice had gone by the time I got to the phone and I was too far away too hear what it said, but I have now blocked it as no one I know would do that.
