This company has been making these calls for at least 2 years. My suggestion is to contact your MP or the press and embarrass ICO into doing the job they are paid for. Rang claiming to be from BT. Stated that our internet would be disconnected for 4 days and that he needed access to our computer to "rewire" a temporary connection free of charge to bridge the gap. I m an IT consultant and so strung him along for a while to waste his time, then told him what I did for a living. He hung up. Not sure where the money angle was going to come from, but guarantee that they would have either infected my PC or tried to scam me out of money for a fake support contract.
