When called there is an American voice recorded message "Your call is very important to us. Please stay on the line & you will be transferred to next available agent..." It then plays music while caller holds. Long wait times, if you get connected to the agent. This seems to be a growing trend with different numbers continually changing. Potential fraud or scam.

Person of asian origin said he was from Currys, asked does he mean the electronic retailer no reply given he then went in to retirick regards mobile networks, blocked the number as I have had quite a few of these type of calls over the last couple of months.

Possibly money/identity theft scam. Received an automated call, apparently from HMRC saying that they detected fraud and for me to press 1 to continue otherwise an arrest warrant will be issued in my name and I will be arrested. Just hung up and blocked number.

Foreign callers claiming to be from Accident Helpline. Ask if they can speak to person who had road accident. Last week I asked them to remove my number (registered on TPS), was told no. Spoke to a Manager who advised he would. Just had another call. Guy just hung up when I mentioned about last week.

Normally don t pick up unknown calls but the number was similar to one I was expecting so mistakenly answered. Think this was an Indian call centre and the guy rambled something about pensions. I said I wasn t interested. He tried to stop me from hanging up by saying it wasn t a sales call (?)... Something along the lines if pension release.
